Restart Scheme

Providing enhanced and tailored support

to help you get back to work.

We’re delivering the Restart Scheme in South Central, helping people in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Surrey, West Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight get back into work.

It provides enhanced and tailored support for people who have been claiming Universal Credit for 12 to 18 months.

If you’ve been referred to us by your Jobcentre Plus Work Coach, you’re in safe hands.

You’ll get lots of support to pick up the skills you need, boost your confidence and find a job that’s right for you.

We are dedicated to understanding your needs, circumstances, goals and aspirations to help you get the right support to move towards a better future.

Our professional and friendly Restart team provides a range of support including:

  • Your own dedicated adviser who will stay with you every step of the way

  • Specialist recruitment advice

  • Access to local employment opportunities

  • Ongoing assessments to understand your needs

  • Access to our online career portal, the Fedcap Hub – with live chat available

  • A range of personal support from local and specialist services

  • Financial health support and budgeting

  • Business start-up and self-employment advice

  • Skills support and training

  • Interview coaching

  • Help to create a CV specifically tailored to your job goals

  • Job searching

  • Access to our Wellbeing Support team

We know everyone is different and a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work. So, your Restart journey might look different to someone else’s. Our service is fully flexible to meet your needs.

You may go into work within weeks, or it may take longer. Whatever happens, we’re here for you for up to 12 months.

We have a dedicated team of people working closely with employers in your area. We work with employers of all shapes and sizes – from big national chains to small and medium sized enterprises – and in all kinds of sectors. So whatever direction you’re looking to go in, we’re in a good position to help.

And our help doesn’t stop when you find work – we offer an in-work support service to make sure you’re happy back in a job you love.

We’re on hand to answer any questions, help you to overcome any challenges you might face and settle into your new job. And if for any reason your job doesn’t work out, then we’ll do everything we can to help you find a new one.

Whatever your situation, we’re confident of putting the support in place to help secure you long-lasting and fulfilling employment.

We’ll be on hand to answer any questions, and to support you with any challenges you might face along the way.

Is your health holding you back?

If so, speak to one of our advisers. They will work with you to help you to bridge the gap between any health issues and securing work. By fully understanding your health issue your personal consultant and health adviser will tailor the service to your requirements, making sure any employment goals and aspirations are suitable for you.
