Work Holistic Assessments Contract

We are currently looking to work in collaboration with key partners for the upcoming DWP Access to Work Holistic Assessments contract which is expected to commence in June 2023.


Access to Work (AtW) is a grant scheme supporting the recruitment and retention of disabled people in paid employment and has been in place since 1994. It is part of the Department for Work and Pension's ultimate strategic goals of lowering unemployment and removing barriers that prevent disabled people from gaining employment.


We are keen to engage with organisations who have experience in working with customers with disabilities or health conditions and delivering holistic workplace assessments.

Partners in Glasgow

We are currently looking to work in collaboration with key partners in Glasgow who share our values of kindness, respect, integrity and innovation.


We are particularly interested in hearing from organisations that:


  • Have an existing presence (office/resources) in Glasgow.

  • Have demonstrable and in-depth knowledge of engaging with disengaged and under-represented groups, and can offer innovative tools and methods to do this successfully.

  • Understand the importance of involving people with lived experience and can demonstrate innovative approaches used to incorporate this into service design.

  • Work with people of various age groups and a wide range of health needs and/or disabilities across Glasgow.

  • Can deliver vocational and/or industry-specific accredited qualifications.

  • Have experience of employer engagement within Glasgow.

  • Can demonstrate a track record in securing and coordinating paid work placements, i.e. previous Kickstart Gateways, etc, and/or Apprenticeships/Traineeships.


Please note, as we are looking at a collaborative approach to this, we want to hear from organisations that can deliver some of the above, it is not a requirement for one organisation to deliver everything listed.

Cost-of-living Management

We are currently looking to build a network of partners providing specialist delivery linked to cost-of-living management, debt solutions/guidance and financial advice in readiness for opportunities that are yet to be announced such as, the Mid-Life MOT and North West Electricity Fuel Poverty Support.


Potential areas of delivery could include:


  • Tools and technology that enable customers to access benefits or financial support they were not previously entitled to

  • Understanding personal debt and debt management solutions 

  • Making better life choices to reduce household costs and expenditure

  • Understanding energy packages, energy bills and ways of reducing personal energy use (especially for those in vulnerable households or on the priority services register) 

  • Understanding credit and personal finances involving links to social lenders such as credit unions 

  • Pensions & Savings advice

  • Engagement with apps, support networks or other solutions that enable customers to access ongoing sustainable financial advice solutions


We are keen to engage with organisations delivering innovative remote or hybrid service solutions that could be available to customers nationally but would also be interested in organisations who have particular knowledge of working with customers in any of the following geographic areas: Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly; North East England; and, North West England.
