We are excited to announce that Fedcap Employment and Hampshire Libraries are working in partnership to bring people of Basingstoke a unique service to help improve their IT skills.

From Thursday, 1 July we’ll be running a pilot at Basingstoke Discovery Centre to help people improve their skills and knowledge in IT.
Supporting people with IT will give them the confidence to conduct their own jobsearch online, with the hope of securing employment with the help of our employability experts.
If you are over 19 years of age, find yourself with little access to IT equipment, or don’t have any Internet connection and would like to apply for paid employment then our programme is perfect for you.
To help you get started, we’ll give you access to an iPad as well as data to connect to the internet. You’ll be able to use this in the comfort of your home for up to six weeks, all we ask is that you take part in up to five-hours of free training on how to use the iPad.
Being a part of this programme is an opportunity for you gain some new skills, overcoming barriers that may have stopped you from applying for work in the past. What you learn, you’ll be able to take with you in the workplace.
If you feel you would benefit from this programme, and would like to know more about it please get in touch with either Wendy at Hampshire Libraries on 07933 908 379 or Louise on 07732 689616 at Fedcap Employment – or drop us a message at hello@fedcapemployment.org
