From Monday, 28 June we’ll be delivering the new Government’s employability programme Restart to help people get back to work.
We have been chosen by the Department for Work and Pensions to deliver its new Restart programme across South Central area of England covering Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Surrey, West Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
We are one of only two charities to be awarded a prime contract.
Restart has been designed to support people who have been unemployed for between 12 to 18 months providing tailored enhanced employability support to find jobs in their local area. We will be offering a mix of face-to-face and virtual support for people looking to return to work. To support our customers and make us more accessible we’ll be extending our opening hours, developing new digital solutions and opening a new suite of offices across the region.
We won’t be delivering this service alone, we’re working in partnership with a range of specialist public, private and voluntary organisations.
We are really excited to be working with Palladium International, Get Set UK, Whitehead-Ross Education and Consulting and Portsmouth City Council to help us to deliver the programme.
Brian Bell, Chief Executive of Fedcap Employment, said: “the Covid pandemic has created so much uncertainty for so many people; of course the pandemic is first and foremast a health crisis, but for so many individuals and families it has also presented challenges around job security with the resulting difficulties around planning for the future.
Our aim is to deliver this programme, with a wide range of partners that share our values, to help to offer work related opportunities to people; to help them to plan and take advantage of jobs that will continue to be created as we come out of the pandemic.”
We’ll now be recruiting along with our partners for a number of different job roles across operations and corporate services to help deliver the Restart programme. If you would like to know what job roles are available, take a look at our vacancies.
