Our new office in Guildford is officially opened

We're delivering the government’s new Restart Scheme in the town.

And we officially opened our new office at Saxon House on Onslow Street on Wednesday 16 March – with our team having already supported dozens of people into work.

The Restart Scheme is helping people who have been out of work for nine months or longer to pick up the skills they need for the modern workforce and helping them with tailored support to find suitable, sustainable jobs.

The organisation’s frontline team are on hand to help with everything from updating CVs to tackling health concerns, and impressing at interviews to launching new start-up businesses.

The team are already working with some of the region’s leading employers, including Thames Water, Royal Mail, XPO Logistics, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Tesco. And since Fedcap began delivering the scheme last year, it has supported more than 2,300 people across the South Central area of England to successfully find new jobs.

Brian Bell, Chief Executive at Fedcap Employment, said: “We’re not about quick fixes or revolving doors. Our support is about helping the people of Guildford to pick up the skills and confidence they need to make a long-term difference to their lives.

“We’re delighted with the start we’ve made here, and we’re looking forward to continuing this positive impact over the next few years.”
