Links to Work programme in Leicestershire has scored success after helping to land 101 people jobs across the county in just one month.
The Links to Work programme, delivered primarily by Fedcap Employment, hit the amazing milestone in October.
The programme is delivered in partnership with specialist employability firms Acorn Training, Business 2 Business and Workpays. Together, the organisations worked closely with their employer contacts to support previously unemployed people into suitable jobs. Jobs include roles at Amazon and Walkers in the region, as well as with many SMEs.
Partner organisations came together to recognise the achievement at a celebration event on Friday 8 November in Leicester.
Funded by the European Social Fund and Department for Work and Pensions, Links to Work is a voluntary programme providing tailored support for people with multiple barriers to work, including those with disabilities, on their journey towards employment.
Matt Mitchell, Partnership Manager at Fedcap Employment, said: “To achieve 101 job starts in a month is magnificent. This is a fine example of true partnership working and we’re so happy to see so many people starting new chapters in their lives. We are very proud of everyone who works on this programme, delivering great results our customers – and for the wider economy in Leicestershire.”
